The terrorist, identified as Ahmad Abu al-Rub (37), a Palestinian illegal resident from Qabatiya in northern Samaria, carried out a series of vehicular ramming and stabbing attacks across multiple locations before being neutralized near Afula.

The attack began in Beit She’an, where the terrorist rammed his vehicle into a 16-year-old boy, seriously injuring him. Shortly afterward, he carried out a second ramming attack in the city, killing Shimshon Mordechai, 69. MDA paramedics attempted resuscitation on Shimshon, but were forced to pronounce him dead at the scene.

The terrorist then fled the city and drove along Route 71 toward Ein Harod. Near Kibbutz Tel Yosef, he deliberately rammed a vehicle belonging to the kibbutz in which Aviv Maor, 19, was traveling. After the collision, Maor exited the vehicle and attempted to flee. According to her father, who spoke at the scene, the terrorist pursued her, caught up to her in a ditch, and stabbed her to death.

MDA physician Dr. Ravid Petro and paramedic Fadi Tantouri described the scene: “The victim was lying unconscious beyond the roadside barrier, suffering from penetrating wounds. We provided medical treatment, but her condition was critical and we were forced to pronounce her dead.”

Following the stabbing, the terrorist continued driving toward Afula. Near the Ma’onot Junction, he carried out another ramming attack, injuring a 37-year-old man, who was evacuated to the hospital in moderate condition.

At the same junction, an armed civilian confronted the terrorist and neutralized him, wounding him moderately. The terrorist was evacuated under guard to a hospital.

According to security officials, the terrorist had been inside Israel for several days illegally and used a vehicle belonging to his Israeli employer to carry out the attack.

Israel Police Commissioner Danny Levy arrived at the scene near Tel Yosef and said: “This is a very serious incident. Thanks to the actions of a security-minded civilian, the attack was stopped and the terrorist was neutralized. We are investigating together with the Shin Bet and will pursue everyone involved to the fullest extent of the law.”

Earlier on Friday, a separate terror incident occurred near Adoraim in the western Chevron Hills, where another terrorist rammed a military vehicle carrying IDF soldiers. The terrorist was arrested and transferred to Shin Bet interrogation. Four soldiers were injured and evacuated to the hospital in light condition.
