Hamas Spokesman Eliminated in Targeted Israeli Operation

The IDF and Shin Bet announced that they successfully targeted and eliminated Hadifa Kahlout, the head of Hamas’s military propaganda apparatus and official spokesman of its armed wing • Read More

The joint operation, coordinated from the Shin Bet’s operations war room in cooperation with the IDF Southern Command, was made possible with the grace of G-D, thanks to prior intelligence collected by the Shin Bet and Military Intelligence, which pinpointed the terrorist’s hideout.

Abu Obeida was one of the last remaining senior figures of Hamas’s military wing from before the October 7 massacre. For the past decade, he oversaw the terror group’s propaganda system, serving as its primary spokesman, coordinating between Hamas’s political and military branches, and shaping the organization’s messaging strategy.

As the face of Hamas, he directed the group’s propaganda campaign, promoting terrorism and spreading incitement aimed at influencing Gazan society, Hamas supporters across the Middle East, and audiences worldwide. During the war, he was directly responsible for releasing psychological terror videos of kidnapped Israeli soldiers and civilians held in Gaza.

Under his command, Hamas’s propaganda system also disseminated footage of the October 7 atrocities, amplifying the massacre and encouraging copycat attacks in the region.

The IDF and Shin Bet emphasized that they will continue to strike terror leaders and dismantle Hamas’s operational and propaganda capabilities until the threats to Israel’s citizens are removed.
