A new Kolel Market supermarket in Tverya brings Kolel Chabad’s low-cost shopping model to another city, with a full range of household groceries and fresh produce • Full Story
Kolel Chabad has opened a new flagship branch of its Kolel Market supermarket network in Tverya, expanding its effort to make everyday groceries more affordable for families.
The new store follows the network’s branch in Tzfas. Its wide aisles and stocked shelves include pantry staples, cleaning supplies, toiletries, wine, meat, poultry and frozen foods, alongside a fresh-produce department.
The project aims to provide low-cost shopping in a clean, spacious setting that allows families to buy what they need with dignity.
Rabbi Sholom Duchman, director of Kolel Chabad, explained that the goal is to help families provide for their homes with dignity and avoid having to cut back on basic necessities.
The store was built with support from the Renner family of Florida and the Feldman family of New Hampshire. Rabbi Yoram Mauda, director of the kollel in Tzfas, oversaw the work on the ground, alongside chairman and Shliach Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Chitrik.
The new branch is intended to serve Tiberias and the surrounding area.
