Roughly two hours later, at 11:00 AM, Trump is scheduled to deliver an address at the Knesset. According to his Vice President, J.D. Vance, Trump also intends to meet with several of the released hostages during his visit.
Trump hinted that the hostages may be released earlier than expected, though he did not make a firm commitment.
In preparation for the visit, Route 1 will be closed from 7:00 AM, along with several other main roads around Jerusalem during the President’s arrival and departure.
Due to the road closures, travelers are advised to reach Ben Gurion Airport by train only. Train service between Tel Aviv–Jerusalem and Tel Aviv–Modiin will be increased. The Jerusalem Light Rail will operate throughout the day, except for skipping the Kiryat Moshe station during security intervals.
At times when the presidential motorcade passes, train movement entering and leaving Jerusalem will briefly pause for several minutes.
