Magen David Adom paramedic Eyal Dadon described the response: “When the UAV alert sounded over Eilat, we entered protected spaces according to Home Front Command instructions. Moments later, reports of injuries near a building came into MDA’s 101 dispatch center. Large MDA forces—including ambulances, intensive care units, and rapid response teams—were dispatched to the scene.”
He added: “There was a fire at the site, which was extinguished by firefighters. We conducted a site sweep, set up a casualty collection point, and provided medical treatment to approximately 20 injured, including two in serious condition with severe shrapnel injuries to their limbs. All injured were evacuated to the hospital conscious.”
The UAV struck near the Club Hotel in the city center. MDA reported injuries in the hotel lobby and the nearby Fadis restaurant. Fire and rescue services said explosive material remained at the site and noted damage to a vehicle.
Defense Minister Israel Katz commented: “I wish a full recovery to those injured in the UAV strike in Eilat. The Houthi terrorists refuse to learn from Iran, Lebanon, and Gaza—and they will learn the hard way. Whoever harms Israel will be harmed sevenfold.”
