The IDF carried out airstrikes Wednesday against Houthi military targets in Sana’a and Al-Jawf, Yemen. The mission involved more than ten Israeli fighter jets striking 15 locations, including military camps, command centers, a fuel storage facility, and the Houthis’ military propaganda headquarters. Over 30 munitions were deployed, and multiple mid-air refuelings were required for the operation, which covered more than 2,350 kilometers — the longest-range mission flown by the Israeli Air Force since the start of the war.
According to the IDF, the strikes targeted sites used for planning and executing terror operations against Israel and IDF forces. The Houthis’ propaganda headquarters was also hit for its role in spreading incitement, including speeches by leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi and statements from spokesman Yahya Saree.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the operation was a direct response to recent Houthi attacks, including drone and missile fire toward Israel, and vowed: “Whoever attacks us, we will reach them.” The Defense Minister called it “another painful blow” to the Houthi terror network, adding that Israel’s reach extends to any location posing a threat to its citizens.
