Chabad of Nicaragua headed by the Shliach Rabbi David Atar is starting to prepare for Pesach.
This week the Shochet Rabbi Eliyahu Ezagui flew from New York specifically to lead a local Shechita for Pesach.
Rabbi Ezagui also led similar operations in Russia, Ecuador, Chile, Peru, Cuba, India, Jamaica, Belize, Dominican Republic, Panama, etc.
The butcher will face a lot of work since the meat has to local Jews and to tourists, and to the Kosher restaurant. In particular on the occasion of Pesach and during the Hakhel Year, when Shluchim intends to hold a particularly large Seder.
The Shechita operation is, of course, together with the constant milking done by the Chabad House, and all the activities to help tourists who pass by the Chabad House every day.
The restaurant in the Chabad House is the only Kosher restaurant that exists, as of now, in Nicaragua. Along with the magnificent women’s mikvah that has been built a number of years ago, serves women, both local and tourists.
