The incident occurred late last week near the village of Romana in the Menashe Division. As previously reported by ChabadInfo, a terrorist managed to approach from behind and stabbed the soldier — a Chabad Chassid from central Israel, a reservist in Battalion 941 and a graduate of the “Netzah Yehuda” combat track — in the back.
Despite the serious injury and surprise attack, the soldier responded with incredible bravery and quick thinking: he immediately turned, opened fire, and neutralized the terrorist. The unit secured the scene, confirmed there were no additional threats, and called in a military helicopter which evacuated the wounded soldier to Rambam Medical Center in Haifa.
According to the IDF Spokesperson, the injury was moderate, but the rapid on-site medical care and air evacuation were critical in saving his life. Hospital staff noted that his condition improved quickly, and he was fully conscious and no longer in danger.
Upon his release, his family shared: “Thank G-d for the miracle. We witnessed open miracles and are deeply grateful to all those who prayed for him.”
