Another Chabad Bochur returning from his year of Kvutza at 770 was arrested upon landing at Ben Gurion Airport, adding to a growing number of similar cases in recent weeks involving Bochurim returning from a year of learning in 770.
In one reported case, a Bochur was taken from the airport in handcuffs and transferred to prison in front of his mother, who had not seen him for an entire year.
With elections approaching, the troubling incidents raise a pressing question: How much longer will this continue? Will anyone step forward during the election season to address the treatment of Yeshiva Bochurim and prevent further incidents like these? Will Chabad askanim take action on the issue? Only time will tell.
