The detention of the Bochurim returning from Kvutza, continues to stir concern throughout Anash.

Following the arrest of dozens of the Bochurim, most were released after agreeing to enlist in the IDF. As of now, however, two Bochurim remain behind bars in military prison.

According to information received by the ChabadInfo editorial team, one of the Bochurim has had his detention extended by an additional eight days. The extension has heightened concern among families and members of Anash.

“Thrown Into a Room Without Basic Conditions”

Meanwhile, accounts have emerged from people close to the families regarding the conditions in which the Bochurim are being held. One message circulated in Anash groups alleges that the Bochurim were placed in a room under difficult conditions, with beds and an open toilet, and that they were not given proper conditions in which to Daven.

The message further says that the Bochurim faced difficulties obtaining food and water and meeting other basic needs. These accounts have not yet been independently verified, and the editorial team is working to establish the full picture.

Where Are the Chabad Rabbonim and Community Activists?

As the detention continues, calls are growing for Chabad Rabbonim, community activists and public figures to mobilize and approach the relevant authorities in an effort to secure the release of the two Bochurim.

There is a growing feeling that focused public action is needed, alongside support for the families as they contend with uncertainty and concern for their loved ones.

The fact that most of the Bochurim were released after agreeing to enlist, while two remain in prison, has placed the unresolved cases at the center of attention within the Chabad community.

A ChabadInfo reporter contacted the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit for comment regarding the continued detention of the two Bochurim, the extension of the detention and the conditions in which they are being held. No response has been received as of publication. If a response is received, it will be shared with readers.

Meanwhile, the families and members of Anash continue to hope for a swift resolution and the release of the two Bochurim who remain behind bars.
