Rabbi Avrohom Lipskier, a beloved educator and longtime Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivas Tiferes Bachurim in Morristown and later Yeshivas Tiferes Menachem in Sea Gate, passed away on Thursday, 28 Elul, 5786, at the age of 86.

Born in Kutaisi, Georgia, R’ Avremel arrived in America as a child and was zoche to be in Yechidus with the Frierdiker Rebbe. As a Bochur, he learned in 770 and was sent by The Rebbe to Brunoy with the first Kvutza of Shluchim in 5722.

Throughout his life, Rabbi Lipskier devoted himself to reaching young Jews seeking meaning and reconnecting them with their heritage. He served on the staff of Hadar HaTorah before being sent with his wife, Rebbetzin Cirel Lipskier, on Shlichus to Milan. In 1972, at the Rebbe’s instruction, they moved to Morristown, where Rabbi Lipskier helped establish Yeshivas Tiferes Bachurim and guided thousands of young men in the ways of Torah and Chassidus.

In 1999, he established Yeshivas Tiferes Menachem in Sea Gate, continuing his lifelong mission of bringing the light of Yiddishkeit to those from secular backgrounds.

Hundreds of his students went on to become Rabbonim and Shluchim, while many more built Jewish homes and became leaders in communities around the world.

He leaves behind a vast legacy of students and families whose lives were transformed through his warmth, patience and dedication to every individual.

He is survived by his wife Cirel and children, Chanie Kaminezki (Dnipro, Ukraine), Mendel Lipskier (Sherman Oaks, CA), Dinie Mangel (Cherry Hill, NJ), Shternie Backman (Glendale, CA), Chaya Mushka Silberberg (Crown Heights, NY) and Berel Lipskier (Crown Heights, NY), grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by siblings, Tzivia Jacobson, Esther Raskin, Leah Marmulstein, Rabbi Berel Lipskier, Rabbi Hirshel Lipskier, Rabbi Zalman Lipskier and Rabbi Shmuel Lipskier.

He was pre-deceased by his brother Fitzi Lipskier OBM.
