After more than a week of extensive searches, the body of 24-year-old Chabad bochur Kasriel Nachman Kinan OBM, who had been missing since Sunday, was located Thursday in the area of Switzerland Forest near Tveria.
At 1:40 p.m., a report was received by ZAKA’s 1220 emergency hotline regarding a body discovered in a difficult-to-access area near a cliff in Switzerland Forest. ZAKA North District volunteers were dispatched to the scene, where identification procedures confirmed that the deceased was the missing bochur, who had last been seen in the Tveria area.
The body was found in challenging terrain near a cliff. ZAKA volunteers and rescue forces are currently working at the scene to recover the body and ensure that the deceased is treated with dignity.
Shi Levy, a ZAKA North District team leader who is at the scene, said: “This is a very complex scene in difficult terrain near a cliff. After receiving confirmation that this was the missing person who had been the subject of the searches, we are working together with the rescue forces to recover the body and ensure the dignity of the deceased.”
