Extensive Search Continues for Chabad Bochur Nachman Kinan
More than a week has passed since Chabad Bochur Nachman Kinan, 24, from Beit Shemesh, went missing. Hundreds of volunteers, alongside Israeli security forces and rescue organizations, continue to conduct extensive searches in an effort to locate him • Full Report, Photos
Nachman left his home on his way to Tzfas, where he planned to meet with his rabbi for a consultation, but never arrived at his destination. The last known location of his phone was recorded in the Tveria area, after which all contact with him was lost.
In recent days, extensive searches have been carried out throughout Tveria, northern Israel and Beit Shemesh, involving the Israel Police, the Israel Canine Unit (YAKL), ZAKA, Yedidim, search-and-rescue units and numerous volunteers. The search efforts have included tracking dogs, drones, off-road vehicles and search teams.
Nachman was last seen wearing a white shirt, black suit and hat, and carrying a black backpack and a dark-brown Tefillin bag. He is approximately 1.72–1.74 meters tall, with black hair, brown eyes and a beard.
Police and the family are urging the public to continue sharing his photo and identifying details. Anyone with information that may assist in locating him is asked to contact the Beit Shemesh Police Station at 02-990-2384 or call 100.
