Viznitz Contractor Is First to Daven Shachris in Newly Expanded 770
A Viznitz chassid working on the expansion of Lubavitch World Headquarters became the first to put on tefillin and daven Shachris in the newly expanded Beis Medrash on Thursday, 25 Cheshvan.
The newly expanded Beis Medrash at Lubavitch World Headquarters has already seen its first tefillah – and it was a Viznitz chassid who davened it.
The man, a contractor working on the expansion project, put on tefillin and davened Shachris in the spacious new hall on Thursday morning, 25 Cheshvan, the first to do so since the expansion was completed.
A photo from the scene shows him wrapped in tallis and tefillin beside the new tables, with finishing work on the hall still underway around him.
The expansion directly behind 770 Eastern Parkway adds thousands of square feet of learning and davening space, and comes as thousands of shluchim and guests fill Crown Heights for the Kinus Hashluchim season.
