With great excitement, a new Chabad House has opened in eastern Gan Yavne, where shluchim Rabbi Mendel and Esther Lapidus will serve the growing local community.
The new Chabad House is being established together with the Rebbe’s shluchim to Gan Yavne, Rabbi Shneur Zalman and Mrs. Kurant, who have directed the central Chabad House in the town for the past 30 years.
More than 26,000 residents currently live in Gan Yavne, and this marks the third Chabad House opened in the community to date.
A second Chabad House was opened approximately five years ago in the northern neighborhoods of the town by shluchim Rabbi Mendy and Rivky Mangami, who continue their successful activities there.
Residents expressed hope that the new Chabad House and the expanding activities of the shluchim will continue strengthening Yiddishkeit throughout the area and help prepare the world for the coming of the Geulah.
