Israeli Startups Raise $9.6 Billion in First Eight Months of 2026

Israel’s technology sector continues to attract major investment, with startups raising approximately $9.6 billion during the first eight months of 2026, according to figures reported by Globes • Read More

Israeli startups raised nearly $600 million in August alone, bringing the year-to-date total to $9.6 billion. The figure could be even higher, as some companies—particularly startups operating in stealth mode—do not publicly disclose their funding rounds.

The pace marks a strong continuation of the Israeli tech sector’s recovery. Startups raised $7.6 billion during the first half of 2026, a 52% increase over the same period in 2025. At the same time, the number of funding rounds has declined, meaning a larger share of the capital is being concentrated in fewer, larger companies.

AI and Cybersecurity Lead the Way

Artificial intelligence and cybersecurity remain major drivers of investment. Among the largest funding rounds announced in August was Alice, an AI security company, which raised $140 million. AI-agent security company Zenity raised $125 million, while Corma and Oligo each secured $60 million. Travel insurance company Faye raised $50 million, and clinical-trial simulation company QuantiHealth raised $45 million.

The year’s biggest rounds have pushed the overall total sharply higher. In June alone, Israeli startups raised approximately $3.3 billion, including a $1.3 billion investment in marketing analytics company AppsFlyer and $600 million for cybersecurity company Cyera.

Despite the strong numbers, the market remains below the extraordinary levels reached during Israel’s tech boom. Israeli startups raised $10.7 billion during all of 2025, $9.58 billion in 2024 and $6.9 billion in 2023. The record remains $25.6 billion raised in 2021.

The latest figures nevertheless highlight the continued strength of Israel’s technology sector, with global investors continuing to pour billions into Israeli companies—particularly in AI, cybersecurity, defense technology and other fields where Israeli startups have established a strong international presence.
