During Hakafos Shniyos, the Pittsburgher Rebbe noticed Rabbi Eliyahu Ezagui, a member of Anash from Nachlas Har Chabad, among the participants.
“He asked me to come over,” Rabbi Ezagui recalled. “He placed his hand on my shoulder and instructed the orchestra to play ‘Yechi Adoneinu Moreinu V’Rabbeinu Melech HaMoshiach L’olam Va’ed’. The entire crowd danced and sang for many long minutes!”
“Afterward, he took my young son, lifted him up, and danced with him with tremendous joy. The entire yeshivah and the crowd shouted, ‘Yechi! Yechi! Yechi!’” Rabbi Ezagui recounted excitedly. “It was a Kiddush Lubavitch.”
The unusual footage of the two dancing together quickly spread across social media. Following the widespread attention, the Pittsburgher Rebbe invited Rabbi Ezagui to his home in Ashdod.
During the visit, Rabbi Ezagui presented the Rebbe with his newly published sefer, Eish Tamid, a collection of his Torah insights and original commentary in Niglah, Chassidus, Halachah, and Aggadah. He also presented a printed excerpt from his sefer Pesach Eliyahu, which discusses the halachos of shechitah and treifos.
The Pittsburgher Rebbe received the sefarim warmly, looked through them with appreciation, and offered Rabbi Ezagui heartfelt blessings for success in spreading Torah and Hafatzas Hamaayanos.
