3 Israelis Killed, 3 Seriously Injured in Horrific Terror Attack Near Ariel

JERUSALEM (VINnews) — In a terror attack near the town of Ariel Tuesday morning, six Israelis were injured, three dying of their injuries. The attack occurred at three different sites, as first the terrorist stabbed a security guard near the entrance to the Ariel Industrial Park and then went on to a gas station where he stabbed two more people, wounding one of them critically. He then fled in a vehicle, before crashing into other cars on the Route 5 highway. According to medics, the attacker then got out of his car and stabbed another person, before he was shot by security forces.
The Magen David Adom ambulance service said the 35-year-old security guard was listed in moderate condition, two men in their 40s wounded at the gas station were in critical and serious condition, a man in his 50s was critically hurt in the car crash, and another 35-year-old was stabbed on Route 5 and is in serious condition. The man critically wounded in the car crash later died of his wounds and two other critically injured people also passed away from their wounds.
The Beilinson hospital reported that four people are being treated, one in very serious condition and two others in serious condition.
The attacker, Mohammed Souf, a 19-year-old Palestinian identifying with Fatah from the village of Hares, was neutralized by civilians and security forces.
Samaria regional head Yossi Dagan said that the attack was a “clear result of loss of sovereignty and loss of deterrents on the part of the outgoing government. The next government must change the equation. The one who is behind this terror wave and funding it is the terrorist in a suit- Abu Mazen [Mahmoud Abbas].
“The Israeli government must make security goals. Those who stand behind this terror wave are the Palestinian Authority and not local warlords and until we change the equation the attacks will not cease.”
