Chabad of Manila Celebrates Tishrei, Opens Vibrant New BGC Center
The Tishrei Yomom Tovim of 5786 were celebrated at Chabad of Manila, Philippines, in a warm and uplifting atmosphere. Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkos, and Simchas Torah were marked by heartfelt hospitality, Torah classes, communal holiday meals, shared prayers, and spirited dancing with the Torah scrolls — creating a true feeling of home away from home.
This year came with special excitement as a new Chabad House was opened in BGC (Bonifacio Global City) — one of Manila’s most modern, upscale, and rapidly developing areas, home to many expats and Israelis.
The new center was established by Rabbi Shalom DovBer Zaitlin, and serves as a vibrant hub of Jewish life, offering regular prayer services, Shabbat meals, Torah classes, spiritual and practical assistance for travelers, and strengthening the connection with the local Israeli community.
This new branch joins a growing network of Chabad Houses in the Philippines, under the leadership of Head Shliach, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak HaLevi Levy:

This expansion is part of a greater vision to spread Judaism, Jewish identity, and the light of Chassidus — even in the remote islands of the Philippines — in the mission of bringing the final redemption through the revelation of our Rebbe, King Moshiach.
