The appointment of Rabbi Dovid and Mrs. Miri Lipsh expands the work of Chabad for Youth Israel, which focuses on strengthening Jewish identity and bringing young people closer to Yiddishkeit through educational programs and personal connections.
Rabbi Moshe Shilat, chairman of Chabad for Youth Israel, has been involved in developing initiatives for Israeli youth, including CTeen Israel and programs for university students and IDF soldiers.
The Lipsh family will serve as the Rebbe’s Shluchim to the youth of Ofakim, working under the direction of the city’s Head Shliach, Rabbi Yisroel Hershkowitz. Chabad’s work in Ofakim has grown since Rabbi Hershkowitz and his wife arrived on Shlichus in 1984, establishing a network of educational institutions, Jewish programs, and Chesed initiatives serving residents across the city.
Welcoming the new Shluchim, Rabbi Shilat offered his blessing: “Heartfelt blessings on joining the family of Shluchim leading the Chabad for Youth revolution in Israel.”
