Following the recent announcement that the Tishrei Lodging complex in Crown Heights had received final approvals from New York City authorities, organizers have now revealed a major new development: instead of the large communal tent used last year, dozens of modern modular housing units are being installed to accommodate the Temimim visiting 770 this Tishrei.
The first unit was set up this past week as a pilot, and after receiving approval, the administration placed an order for the remaining units, which are scheduled to arrive in the coming weeks. Each unit will provide increased comfort, privacy, and security, ensuring that every Tomim has a proper place to rest and recharge during the packed days of Tishrei.
“This is a significant step up from last year,” organizers explained, noting that the change reflects the tremendous feedback from Temimim and the strong support from the community. “Our goal is to ensure that every guest of the Rebbe feels welcomed, cared for, and able to focus fully on their Tishrei experience in 770.”
The new modular design also allows for better organization, safety, and maintenance throughout the busy month, while preserving the warm communal spirit that has become the hallmark of the lodging initiative.
