Chevron Marks 97 Years Since The Frierdiker Rebbe’s Historic Visit

As part of an annual tradition, the Jewish community in Chevron marked 7 Menachem-Av, the anniversary of the historic arrival of The Frierdiker Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn, to the city of the Avos and the Me’aras Hamachpelah in 1929 (5689).
To commemorate the special day, a Chassidishe farbrengen was held at the “Seventh Step” — the exact location where the Rebbe Rayatz davened during his visit to the holy site.
The event was organized by the Rebbe’s Shliach, Rabbi Yoni Attiya, with the participation of Chevron Shliach Rabbi Dani Cohen.
During the farbrengen, a siyum masechta was also held, in accordance with the Rebbe’s well-known hora’ah to conduct siyumim during the Three Weeks, especially at holy sites such as the Kosel Hamaaravi and Me’aras Hamachpelah.
The siyum was made by Hatomim Meir Matanel Attiya.
