We are deeply saddened to report on the passing of Mrs. Ratza (Ray) Schildkraut, a longtime beloved teacher at Bais Rivka and matriarch of a large Chabad family. She passed away on Monday, 2 Sivan, 5783.
She was 94.
She was born to her parents Yitzchok Eliezer and Chaye Freyda Gold in Boro Park, after graduating from Bais Yaakov, she taught in Buffalo, NY in the Lubavitch Day School.
After she married Rabbi Velvil Schildkraut in Elul 5708, she moved with her husband on shlichus to New Haven, CT.
The family moved to Crown Heights in 5720, where Mrs. Schildkraut served as an acclaimed and beloved teacher at Bais Rivka for over 3 decades.
She is survived by her children, Mrs. Chaye Freyda Kahan – Crown Heights, Rabbi Leibel Schildkraut – Chaifa, EY; Mrs. Esty Grossbaum – Toronto, ON; Mrs. Shternie Rosler – Toronto/Miami; Rabbi Yossi Schildkraut – S. Paulo, Brazil; Mrs. Rivkie Kahanov – Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren and great–grandchildren.
She is also survived by her sister Mrs. Esther Holler, of Flatbush, NY.
The Levaya will be tomorrow, Tuesday, passing by Bais Rivkah Lefferts 12:00, and then passing 770 at 12:15.
The Shiva will take place at 408 Sterling St.
