Yad L’Achim Scores Big Victory; Shuts Down Missionary Youth Center

After nearly two years of unrelenting battle against a missionary center targeting youths in Yerushalayim – the largest such center in Israel – Yad L’Achim has succeeded in getting the facility closed down. The story began when information reached Yad L’Achim that Yariv Goldman, a known missionary, had set up a youth center. Goldman and his team tried to hide their true identities and intentions, claiming to be an “attentive ear” to religious and chareidi youths • Full Story

Oholei Torah Celebrates Historical Opening

Yesterday, Oholei Torah elementary, Mechina and Mesivta started the Shnas Halimudim for 5782. Over 1300 Talmidim entered the main campus on Eastern Parkway and were greeted with balloons and music and the Mechina/Eighth Grade made history, as they now have their own separate building on 417 Troy Avenue, a building that thousands of Oholei Torah alumni went through over the past 50 years • Full Story, Photos

Chabad Lincoln Park, located near Downtown Chicago, dedicated a new Sefer Torah this week beneath the beautiful Chicago skyline. Rabbi Mendy and Mrs. Brocha Benhiyoun, directors of the vibrant center, celebrated with tens on community members in a posh ceremony. A terrible tragedy occurred in the Chareidi community in Antwerp, Belgium on Tuesday morning when two sisters crossing the street in the Jewish quarter were run over and killed by a truck.
