Renowned Chazzan Releases 19 Kislev Classic

Well known chazzan Rabbi Dovid Caytak of Yerushalayim released a new single, an original rendition of the classic niggun “Pada V’Shalom”, traditionally associated with 19 Kislev, dubbed Rosh Hashana L’Chassidus. The song contains the famous last lines of kapitel 55 of Tehillim, which the Alter Rebbe recited at the exact time of his release from Tzarist prison • Listen

Tragic: Eliyahu Dovid Kay, HY”D, Killed with ‘Likutei Sichos’ in Hand

As reported earlier, Eliyahu Dovid Kay, hy”d, age 25, was killed in cold blood in this morning’s terror attack in the Old City of Yerushalayim. Details have now come forth about his identity, including that he was from a Lubavitcher family in Modiin, learned in Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim – Kiryat Gat, and was holding a copy of the Rebbe MH”M’s ‘Likutei Sichos’ when he was murdered on his way to Shachris at the Kosel • Full Story

Those gathered heard from a variety of guest speakers, among them two Shluchim from Australia, Rabbis Yitzchok Barber and Yosef Yitzchok Engel.
