A piece of debris from an Iranian missile struck a residential building in the city of Lod on Motzei Shabbos around 10:00 p.m., damaging the home of a Chabad family. Miraculously, no one was injured.
According to initial reports, the debris fell with significant force on the building, where several Chabad families reside, causing substantial property damage.
Members of the affected family were spared in what many described as a clear miracle. At the time of the strike, the children had just finished showering and had already gone down to the stairwell, following safety instructions during the missile alert.
Lod Mayor Yair Revivo arrived at the scene and spoke about the dramatic circumstances that prevented a tragedy.
“It’s a great miracle at the end of Shabbos,” Revivo said. “The children had just finished showering and went down to the stairwell. You can see the magnitude of the miracle — in the bathroom, just five minutes after the children finished showering, pieces of the missile penetrated the ceiling.”
“If someone had been here at that moment, we would have been facing a very serious disaster,” he added.
Despite the extensive damage to the apartment, the family emerged unharmed, with residents and officials alike pointing to the incident as a remarkable instance of protection during the ongoing attacks.
