The seemingly never-ending saga of the legal battle continues over the management of 770. Two and a Half years the verdict as part of the court case on the management of the 770 Shul. An appeal was filed last week in the days following Hei Teves, Didan Notzach, against the latest decision in which worshipers are required to evacuate the Shul and Beis Medrash of 770

This is another chapter in the long saga that has been ongoing for the past twenty years in different courts with conflicting rulings as to who is the proper side to manage the Shul.

As a refresher, in Iyar 5780, Justice Harriet L. Thompson of the Kings County Surrogate’s Court – who has since been dismissed from her position due to allegations of corruption ruled that the authority over 770 Eastern Parkway belongs to the petitioners ‘Agudas Chasidei Chabad’.

After learning the verdict, The legal team representing the gabbaim and the mispallelim decided to appeal it to a higher court and last week, as mentioned, the appeal was submitted in a document of over a hundred pages, in which the lawyers demand that the court recognize that the gabbaim and mispallelim maintain the right to occupy and manage the shul as the Rebbe MH”M originally intended.
