Bochurim Yosef Yitzchak Becher and Shlomo Avraham Kaufman have arrived in Mumbai to join the Semicha program while serving as shluchim at Chabad of Central Mumbai, under the guidance of Rabbi Elirani and Elisheva Russo.
Since their arrival, the bochurim have been fully immersed in city life, going out on Mivtzoim and connecting with the Jewish community. At the Chabad House, they are learning farbrenging with Israeli visitors and tourists, combining Mivtzoim with intensive Semicha and shechita learning.
Through their energy, dedication, and joy, the bochurim are inspiring Jewish life across Mumbai, strengthening Torah and mitzvos, and bringing the Rebbe’s message to both residents and visitors. Their work reflects the true spirit of shlichus—spreading Yidishkeit wherever they go, with learning, farbrengens, and acts of chesed at the heart of everything.
