The event was attended by supporters from abroad, members of the Jewish community in Cebu, and visiting travelers.
Shliach of the Rebbe, Rabbi Mendy Axelrod, spoke powerfully about the importance of building a Mikvah, connecting it to Parshas Vayeitzei and to the month of Kislev — spreading the wellsprings “to the farthest islands of the sea.”
The Mikvah is beautiful and meticulously constructed, built according to the highest standards, following the Chabad “bor al gabei bor” system.
After the affixing of mezuzos and a guided tour of the new Mikvah, the crowd continued with Maariv, a Seudas Mitzvah, and Chassidic dancing in the magnificent “Beis Menachem” Shul located on the Chabad House campus.
The construction of the Mikvah was made possible with the support of the Mikvah Taharah International Fund, led by Rabbi Waldman. Planning and construction oversight were carried out by Rabbi Shmuel Levin of Netanya, an expert in Chabad Mikvaos.
