Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a statement Sunday evening from the rooftop of the Kirya in Tel Aviv following a meeting with senior defense officials. “Our forces are striking at the heart of Tehran with increasing intensity, and this will only intensify further in the coming days,” he declared. “We are in a campaign in which we are bringing the full force of the IDF, as never before.”
Netanyahu stated that he had concluded a meeting with the Defense Minister, the IDF Chief of Staff, and the head of the Mossad, during which he issued directives for the continuation of the campaign. “Yesterday we eliminated the tyrant Khamenei. Together with him, we eliminated dozens of senior figures in the regime of repression,” he said.
The Prime Minister also addressed the deadly missile strike in Beit Shemesh and the previous attack in Tel Aviv. “These are painful days. Yesterday here in Tel Aviv, and now in Beit Shemesh, we lost precious people. My heart goes out to the families, and I send wishes for a speedy recovery to the wounded.”
He added that alongside the unprecedented deployment of Israel’s military strength, the campaign also includes support from the United States and President Donald Trump, stating that the combined effort will enable Israel to decisively strike what he called a terror regime and secure the country’s future.
