A select group of Temimim from Tomchei Temimim in Moscow, who devoted themselves for several months to studying the Halachos of Chuppah and Kiddushin, as a continuation to the regular Semicha course, got tested with great success.
This program produced over the years many students that are successfully helping in the Jewish communities throughout Russia.
The students went to the office of the founder of the Yeshiva Rabbi of Russia, Rabbi Berel Lazar Shalita, for an in-depth test for a long hour, during which many questions were raised. Rabbi Lazar was very impressed by their deep and extensive knowledge, from the sources to the practical Halacha.
Beside Rabbi Lazar, sat the Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Menachem Mendel Goldberg and the Rosh Yeshiva of Machon Semicha Rabbi David Rosenzweig, who throughout the year devote themselves to all the Talmidim in the Yeshiva. They help them work on their learning in peace of mind in the yeshiva complex, located far from the hustle and bustle of the city. With comfortable physical conditions alongside the Hanhala Ruchni, the students get to enjoy the depth of Torah, Chassidus and Halacha.
Now that the Talmidim completed their Semicha and in light of their success in their extensive knowledge, the Talmidim accepted the advice of Rabbi Lazar to put down in writing the explanations and summaries of the methods of these Halachos, in a special booklet that will be published soon IYH.
