Wednesday night a direct missile attack hit the Nikolsky department store right next to the Kharkov synagogue. The intensity of the explosion blew out windows in the synagogue. At the time over one hundred people were sleeping in the synagogue and thank G-d no casualties.
Rabbi Moshe Moskovitz mentioned that despite the shellings and bombings in the city the synagogue is continuing to ensure that daily hundreds of people are evacuated to safety. The Jewish community is sending hot meals, food, and medicines to needy elderly trapped in shelters and apartments throughout the city.
The Shluchim in Kharkov continue to ask everyone to continue praying and adding in good deeds for the safety of the community and all of the Jews and people in Ukraine. To bomb the world with goodness and light.
