Rabbi Reuven Matusof, venerated Shliach who has provided many thousands of mehudar esrogim from Italy’s Calabria region to the Lubavitch community the world around for over 40 years, has committed to do everything in his ability to provide the cherished product as he does every year.
“Despite various travel restrictions in nations around the globe”, said Rabbi Matusof, “we are preparing to use all means necessary to get Calabria esrogim to communities across the globe. We have begun preparing shipments already in the beginning of Elul in order to provide every Jew who wants with a mehudar esrog from Calabria”.
Together with venerated Italian Shliach Rabbi Moshe Lazar, Rabbi Matusof has been busy inspecting and packing each individual esrog with the help of his son Rabbi Shneur Zalman Matusof and Hatomim Mendel Zaltzman.
