In a dramatic development, the chareidi representative on the board of the Anu Museum of the Jewish People (formerly known as Beit Hatfutsot) has resigned in protest of the museum’s refusal to comply with Yad L’Achim’s demand that it remove an exhibit that normalizes intermarriage.

In his announcement, the representative made it clear that the sole reason for his move was his refusal to lend a hand to exhibits that represent an attack on Jewish values and constitute a chillul Hashem.

Yad L’Achim, which has been waging a prolonged battle against the museum, congratulated the chareidi representative and expressed hope that his dramatic step would convince management to remove the offensive exhibits.

Meanwhile, with summer vacation at its peak, Yad L’Achim reiterated its warning against visiting the Anu museum, in view of exhibits that violate the core principles of our faith.

It is important to note that all leading Poskim and Rabbanim have called for the public to boycott the museum.

Yad L’Achim officials stated that the struggle will continue and that “we will not rest or be silent until the disgrace is completely removed.”

Added one official: “This is in fulfillment of the mitzvos of ‘and you must extinguish evil from among you’ and ‘you shall not put a stumbling block before the blind.’ The multitudes who visit the museum are at risk of falling prey to publications that legitimize issurei d’Oraysa. For this reason, we will remain vigilant until we persevere.”
