The dream of Rabbi Mordechai (Motty) Anati ob”m to build a building modeled after 770, the home of the Rebbe, King Moshiach, is being realized thanks to the emissaries he guided and his successor, Rabbi Daniel Shahino. His 30 year dream is coming to fruition three years after Rabbi Anati ob”m participated in the cornerstone ceremony for the building. In this time, members of the 770 Moshiach Center community have worked to complete construction, and today the building’s frame stands proudly.

On Monday, an elegant dinner was held with the goal of raising $5 million for the community’s future – by completing the building, which will include a synagogue, study rooms, an educational system, mikvah, guest rooms and many other activities.

The ‘Bnei Sephardim’ event hall filled with some 500 invitees who enjoyed a lavish catering by One Event. Eitan Penias of Amazing Events was responsible for decor, and singer Avi Peretz with musicians Uri Beitan and Ilan Guzlan uplifted the crowd with song and music.

The evening opened with a moving video of the Rebbe, King Moshiach, speaking about the virtue of charity.

Attorney Matityahu Abarbanel recounted his touching relationship with Rabbi Motty and miracles he experienced after deciding to give large sums to charity. He emotionally announced he would work to raise $50,000 for the campaign.

Next, the community’s Rabbi, Daniel Shahino, spoke emotionally about the legacy of Rabbi Motty Anati ob”m. “We have reached the final stretch in completing the building, and right now we need the final sums to fulfill Rabbi Motty’s great dream.”

He added, “The Rebbe, King Moshiach, wanted the light of Judaism and Chasidism to reach every Jew, and through the new building – we will reach thousands more Jews.”

The cantor and singer, Amram Adar delighted the attendees with his voice and encouraged donations, opening hearts and wallets, even donating a significant sum himself.

During the evening, attendees pledged to fundraise “bricks,” each worth a $5,000 donation, for the campaign. The goal is 1,000 bricks. “To reach this goal, we need your help now more than ever,” said Rabbi Shahin, adding “Your donation and participation in the ‘Building Fund,’ both personally and by enlisting your relatives, will make you an integral part of 770, which will stand gloriously as the first model of 770 in Florida!”
