The Dnipro Jewish community held a Torah Completion Ceremony for “Alte Kloiz” synagogue of Rivne

The Torah Completion Ceremony took place in the community’s conference hall on the 18th floor of the Menorah Center.
The Rabbi of Dnipro and the region, Shmuel Kaminetski, noted during the ceremony that this Torah is the first in the community of Rivne, and presenting it to a community is a tremendous merit.

“This Torah scroll is dedicated to the Jewish community of Rivne from the Jewish community of Dnipro in merit of a child, Maor Shimon bar Yochai Ben Adi for a speedy recovery,” is stated on the special embroidered case of this Torah.

During the Torah Completion Ceremony, the respected guests were invited to inscribe their letter into the Torah under the guidance of the Chief Scribe of the National Center of Soferut of Ukraine, Rabbi Reuven Margolin.

The most honorable right to complete the Torah was given to the Chairman of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Ukraine, Rabbi Meir Tsvi Stambler, the Rabbi of Dnipro and the region Shmuel Kaminsky, Rabbi Yosef Glik, Menachem-Mendel and Artur Abramenko, and Rabbi of Rivne, Shneur Shneerson.

Then, the Torah scroll was lifted, following the tradition, a specially embroidered case and a crown were placed on it. Subsequently, under a wedding canopy, a Chuppah, it was carried through the Gallery of the Menorah Center, symbolizing a Jewish street to be then brought to the “Golden Rose” synagogue, where festive prayers, Akafoth, took place.
