    The visit comes amid the remarkable growth of Cyprus’ Jewish community, now numbering approximately 17,000 members, including immigrants from Ukraine, Russia, and Israeli families who have moved to the island.

    During his visit, Rabbi Jacobs focused on issues of Jewish identity, education, and strengthening the community’s connection to Jewish tradition. He met with young members of the community, engaging them in discussions about values, belonging, and Jewish identity, and praised the vibrant and expanding activities taking place locally. He encouraged the youth to see themselves as ambassadors of the Jewish people, even beyond their national borders.

    The visit was part of the ongoing work of the European Rabbinical Center, led by prominent Rabbonim who tirelessly support Jewish communities across the continent, providing spiritual and educational guidance.
