Approximately 200 people, including Israeli Ambassador to Germany Ron Prosor, senior political figures, and diplomatic representatives, gathered at Berlin’s Central Synagogue for a special memorial ceremony marking three years since the Simchas Torah massacre.

The event was initiated by the Rebbe Melech HaMoshiach’s Shliach and Chief Rabbi of Berlin, Rabbi Yehuda Teichtal, who called on participants to transform the memory of the victims into a source of renewed Jewish identity, greater light, and Mitzvos.

During the ceremony, prayers were recited in memory of those murdered, including a prayer led by Rabbi Yossi Alperin, director of Chabad’s Israeli Center in Berlin. Prayers were also offered by the Israeli ambassador and students of the Jewish school.

The highlight of the ceremony was the lighting of twelve candles by representatives of German society, in recognition of individuals who have supported the Jewish community and stood by its side.

At the conclusion of the event, participants were invited to light a candle and commit to an act of goodness, reflecting the message that remembering the victims must also inspire actions that bring light and hope.
