“The Heart of Every Jew Is Awake”: Beginning at 7:00 a.m., as polling stations opened for the pivotal elections for the 26th Knesset, Chabad Chassidim and the Rebbe’s Shluchim fanned out across Eretz Yisroel for an extensive Mivtza Tefillin.
Davening and Tefillin stands were set up at polling stations and in parks, taking advantage of the opportunity to help fellow Jews perform a Mitzvah and prepare to greet Moshiach.
The Chassidim were warmly received by voters from across the political spectrum, and many more Jews were encouraged to put on Tefillin.
