In honor of Rosh Chodesh Kislev and with it comes the Chasidishe Yomim Tov and Chanukah, a time that the light of the Neshama shines, the joy also elevates the guf and frees it from its shackles, and it breaks out in dance.

In Chabad, there are many joyful Niggunim. This Niggun, also known as the “Rosh Chodesh Kislev Niggun,” is one of the most joyful of them. This rhythmic niggun in the style of a march was composed by baal hamenagen, Rabbi Feitel Levin, on the occasion of the Rebbe’s recovery on Rosh Chodesh Kislev 5738.

On Rosh Chodesh Kislev, the Rebbe recovered and went out to his Chassidim, who thanked Hashem and danced with this joyful and special niggun.

This week, in Beis Chayeinu also hosted the Kinus Hashluchim, which takes place annually in Crown HeightsThis niggun is sung by the Shluchim as they pose for the annual group photo with great joy, in front of the Beis Chayeinu.

The Tzama Project is pleased to present a rendition of the niggun, performed by Rabbi Avraham Fried, in honor of Rosh Chodesh Kislev.
