A new public square, named after the nearly 8,000 Jewish residents expelled from 21 communities in Gush Katif, during the 2005 pullout ordered by Ariel Sharon – was unveiled in Yerushalayim. The Gush Katif museum’s director, Shai Gefen, called the unveiling a “historical moment” “correcting a historic injustice.”
