MTA Draft Plan to Reroute of B43; Add Bus Line Along Empire

As Chabadinfo has first reported, the MTA released a draft plan of the Brooklyn bus network. Overhauling a number of bus lines across Brooklyn, including rerouting the southbound B43 along Albany instead of Brooklyn Ave. adding the B10 along Empire Blvd. The northbound B49 will run along New York Ave and the northbound B44 will run along Rogers Ave.
As part of the redesign, southbound B43 service would be rerouted along Albany Avenue in Crown Heights and Bed-Stuy, and Marcus Garvey Boulevard (north of Bed-Stuy), to serve areas without existing bus service. Closely spaced stops would also be eliminated.
The new proposed B10 LTD will provide a new route connecting Broadway Junction and Prospect-Lefferts Gardens, adding buses along Empire Blvd and E. New York Ave.
Other Crown Heights routes are unaffected, including the B12, B17, B45 and the B46.
This is a “draft plan” and Community Board 9 with the MTA wants to hear the community’s input. The community board 9 will be holding a meeting with the MTA will be today, Tuesday, February 7 at 6:30pm on Zoom.
