Hosted by the Crown Heights Republican Committee (CHRC) and local community leaders, Senator Weber toured Kingston Avenue with NYS Republican Gubernatorial candidate Bruce Blakeman, discussing mutual issues that both our communities face in regards to shelters and concerns with public safety, antisemitism and the attacks on our Yeshivas by Albany politicians.
Afterwards the Senator visited 770 Eastern Parkway – Chabad Lubavitch global headquarters, where he visited the Rebbe’s Shul, was given a tour of the World Lubavitch Communication Center (WLCC) room and the Rebbe’s Library, learning more about the history, legacy, and worldwide work of Chabad-Lubavitch and the movements far-reaching impact.
Senator Weber was accompanied by Monsey Askan R’ Binyomin Nezri.
Weber, whose wife and children are proudly Jewish, is from the leading pro-Yeshiva and pro-Israel New York Senator’s supporting, advocating, sponsoring bills and voting on legislation to benefit the statewide Jewish community. Senator Weber, a moderate Republican, has been fighting against far-left policies to help all his constituents in all Rockland County neighborhoods and communities to benefit his district.
Senator Weber is also a strong supporter of the Shluchim and Chabad Houses in his district, including in Nyack, NY, and Suffern, NY.
The visit offered Senator Weber a meaningful opportunity to experience the spiritual and cultural center of Chabad-Lubavitch firsthand and to further strengthen his relationship and deepen his understanding of a community that plays an important role not only in Crown Heights but also throughout Rockland County, where many Lubavitch families call home and ensure their voices are heard in Albany.
It also marked the beginning of what many are hopeful will be a lasting partnership between the Senator, Rockland County Askonim, and the Crown Heights community.
