With great sadness we inform you of the passing of the Mekubal of Eretz Yisroel, one of the leading Sephardic Rabbis, Rabbi Yoram Michael Abergel, who passed away today, on Shabbos, 27 Tishrei 5776. He was 58 years old.
He was very close to the Rebbe and Chabad, over his years he spoke at length of the Rebbe as Melech HaMoshiach, he visited 770, and signed on the psak Din that the Rebbe is Moshiach.
His Levaya took place at 10:30 pm tonight in Netivot.
Rav Abergel had been sick for several months, and frequently had to be hospitalized. He spent the past week in the emergency care ward of Tel Hashomer Hospital, where he passed away.
He is survived by his six children.
