    We regret to inform you of the passing of Rabbi Shimon Raichik, Rov of Congregation Levi Yitzchok in Los Angeles Wednesday, 20 Kislev 5782.

    Rabbi Raichik was born, together with his twin Yosef Yitzchok obm, on 3 Teves 5713 to his parents Rabbi Shmuel David and Leah Raichik, the Rebbe MH”M’s Shluchim to Los Angeles, California.

    In 5731, he studied at the Tomchei Temimim in Montreal, and was subsequently sent to Melbourne, Australia as part of the third group of shluchim sent to the city’s Yeshiva Gedola, where he studied from 5731-5733.

    After his marriage to Chana Liba Gansburg in 5739, he settled in Crown Heights and studied for two years at the Kollel.

    In 5753, he was appointed Rov of Congregation Levi Yitzchok in Los Angeles and served as a posek for the Lubavitch community in Los Angeles, as well as a member of the California Rabbinical Association.

    He is survived by his wife Mrs. Chana Liba Raichik, their children Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Raichik – Boynton Beach, Florida; Mrs. Simi Ghods – Los Angeles; Rabbi Yisroel Noach Raichik – Crown Heights; Mrs. Sterna Sarah Gurary – Los Angeles; Rabbi Moshe Raichik – Brooklyn, NY; Mrs. Chaya Mushka Zalztman – Toronto, Canada; Rabbi Avrohom Abba Raichik – Los Angeles; and grandchildren.

    He is also survived by his siblings R’ Abi Raichik – Los Angeles; R’ Elazar Raichik – Crown Heights; Mrs. Devori Wilhelm – Portland, Oregon; Mrs. Suri Klyne – Los Angeles; R’ Levi Raichik – Los Angeles; Rabbi Sholom Raichik – Gaithersburg, Maryland; R’ Yanky Raichik – Los Angeles; and Mrs. Chanie Hanoka – Pasadena, California.

    The funeral for Harav Shimon Raichik will be 11:00 am at Congregation Levi Yitzchak The kvurah will be approximately 1:00 pm at Mount Olive Memorial.

    Park 7231 E Slauson Ave, City of Commerce.

    The Aron will stop at YOEC, Ohel Chana, Bais Chaya Mushka and Cheder Menachem on there to the cemetery.
