    We regret to inform you of the passing of Rabbi Nachum Pressman, the longtime Shliach in Potsdam, Germany for 24 years. He passed away on Tuesday, 5 Adar II.

    He was 50 years old.

    Rabbi Pressman was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan to his parents Rabbi Levi and Malka Pressman. The family emigrated to Israel when R’ Nachum was an infant. They settled in Nachalas Har Chabad, outside of Kiryat Malachi.

    After marrying his Michal, the couple moved to Potsdam, Germany, the capital and largest city of the German state of Brandenburg, where they served as the Rebbe MH”M’s Shluchim.

    He was known as a beloved Shliach who always bore smile and a always displayed a big heart. Over the decades, the Pressmans built a beautiful community with flourishing educational institutions.

    Three months ago R’ Nachum suffered a stroke, and has been in a coma in hospitals in Germany and in Israel.

    Many around the world prayed for him, and a Tanya was even printed in the merit of his recovery.

    He is survived by his wife, Michal, and children Miriam, Menachem Mendel, Avraham, and Chaya Mushka.

    He is also survived by his siblings, R’ Avraham Pressman (Jerusalem), Mrs. Shaindel Lipsker (Natzrat Illit), Mrs. Esther Raskin (London, England), Mrs. Yehudis Feldman (Kfar Chabad), Rabbi Yitzchok Pressman (Bnei Brak), and Mrs. Basya Raskin (Kfar Chabad).
