Historic Charter Flight to Honor the Rebbe’s Father Draws Record Interest

The announcement of a historic charter flight to the Ohel of the Rebbe’s father in honor of the 20th of Menachem Av has sparked tremendous excitement across the Chabad community. Registration has surged, and seats are quickly filling up.
The charter flight—from Tel Aviv to Almaty, Kazakhstan—is scheduled to bring participants to the kever of the revered Kabbalist, Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Schneerson, of righteous memory, father of the Rebbe, on the day of his yahrzeit.
Since the flight was announced, many members of Anash have already registered. Several noted that they had originally planned to travel to New York for Gimmel Tammuz, but due to the war with Iran, their trips were canceled. They now see this journey as a unique opportunity to bring the Rebbe nachas by fulfilling “a son honors his father.”

The initiative is being organized by the Tiferes Zekainim–Levi Yitzchok network of kollels, which has seen exceptional growth in recent years.
The aircraft, with close to 200 seats, will be fully equipped to provide a warm and Chassidishe atmosphere from the moment of boarding.
The flight will depart from Eretz Yisrael on Tuesday afternoon, arriving in Almaty early the next morning. Participants will have the opportunity to visit the Ohel both on the eve of the yahrzeit, throughout the night of the 20th of Menachem Av. The group will return to Eretz Yisrael early Thursday morning.
While in Almaty, the schedule will center around the visit to the Ohel, as well as davening, learning, and farbrengens.
Shluchim will receive a special $500 travel reimbursement.
A dedicated and inspiring women’s program will also take place on the day of the Yahrzeit.
