Last Year I Forgot! Never Again!

Matanos L’evyonim is Purim’s greatest Mitzvah, yet it’s also the easiest to forget and the hardest to perform correctly. With CharityForIsrael.com you will never forget again! • Full Story

The Rambam writes that “one should increase in giving Matanos L’evyonim, rather than spending on Seudas Purim and Mishloach Manos”.  This Halacha isn’t always followed due to it’s challenging and complex nature: finding an appropriate recipient and helping them in a dignified manner is no easy feat… and it’s only made more difficult for having to be done on one of the most hectic days of the year!

For over 11 years, the “Adopt a Family” fund, led and supervised by Rabbi Menachem M. Gluckowsky, has made the fulfillment of this Mitzvah more accessible than ever. Via their website CharityForIsrael.com, Matanos L’evyonim can be given easily and in the most Mehudar way possible.

Whether you choose to donate in advance, or on Purim day, you are appointing the fund to be your Shliach to deliver your Matanos L’evyonim. and Rabbi Gluckowsky personally guarantees that your donation will reach at least two of the neediest families of Anash and Shluchim in Israel – ON PURIM day!

Last year, over 4000 households and Shul’s entrusted Rabbi Gluckowsky with their Matanos L’evyonim, and nearly 600 families in over 30 communities across Israel received substantial monetary gifts on Purim Day!

This year the demand has grown to over 1350 families across 54 communities requesting help! Those numbers may seem daunting, but the network of caring fellow Anash and Shluchim around the world has grown as well. Adopt a Family is determined to say YES to every single one of them. The amount of recipients, though, and the magnitude of the gifts they receive, depends entirely upon YOU!

Donate TODAY! Don’t push this mitzvah off to the last minute this year! And together we will bring joy to those that need it most – on Purim.
