Last week in Namibia, in an impressive event, a Bris was held for the son of the Shluchim Rabbi Yosef and Mushka Rahimi of Chabad of Namibia.

An event like this was not seen in the country for decades, with Eliyahu’s chair locally made and decorated. The mohel was flown in from the neighboring country of South Africa.

During the Bris, the locals said Birchas Kohanim for the baby and the community.

The rav blessed one of the local Jews who only discovered he was Jewish a few months ago that he should be Zoche to have a Bris Mila, despite his age of 72. The Mohel, who is also a doctor, spoke to him for several minutes about the importance of having a Bris.

During the Seudas Mitzvah, the Jew decided to have a Bris and was given one by the Mohel that day in one of the rooms of the Chabad House.

The Yiddishe heart awakens, no matter what age.
