Los Angeles is facing multiple wildfires, including the Palisades Fire, which has burned 16,000 acres, and the Sunset Fire in Hollywood Hills, which has already consumed 50 acres. These fires have triggered mandatory evacuations for thousands and caused significant air quality concerns for millions of residents.
Although there was no official evacuation order for the yeshiva’s area, the fire’s close proximity led to precautionary measures. Local students returned to their homes, while out-of-town students were placed with friends or at a gym in Beverly Hills.
